The second-seeded St. John’s Prep lacrosse team (19-2) advanced to the Div. 1 semifinals with a 15-2 smashing of No. 7 Winchester (18-3) at Glatz Field. Eleven players netted goals for the five-time defending state champions.
Beckett Lee (2 goals, assist) and Thias Tolo (2 goals, assist) led the barrage, while Mac Crawford and Ryan McCarthy added two goals apiece. Josh Barton, Sam Kelly, and Thomas Randall all scored a goal and dished out an assist.
Face-off ace Will Crawford won 10 of 12, while goalies Mattheus DuPlessis (6 saves) and Max Putney (5) kept most of the danger away.
Next for The Prep is familiar foe Boston College High on Tuesday. Opening face-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Burlington High.

Despite holding a 12-11 lead after four innings against the two-time defending champions, St. Mary’s (18-5) bowed out of the Div. 3 tournament in the Round of 8. Abbey Sousa, Oliva DiSessa, Sydney Wells, and Jayla Walsh recorded three hits apiece.
