Last Friday, Revere’s softball team escaped Lynn Classical’s grasp 9-6. Four days later, the tables turned as the visiting Rams cruised by the Patriots 19-4 Tuesday.

Do-it-all Emma Chevalier had a game to remember, batting 4-for-4 with three runs scored, three RBI, and a homer over the center-field fence. Brooke Braswell (2-for-3, 3 RBI, 3 R) tripled for her 100th career hit.

Olivia Rodriguez (2-for-3, 4 RBI, 2 R) contributed, as did Aysia Olaes (2-for-5, 5 RBI, R). Olaes also pitched six innings and allowed just one earned run on seven hits.

“I’m very proud of the girls for bouncing back after a tough loss to a good Revere team last Friday,” said Classical coach Joe Morin. “To beat Revere by the score of 19-4 shows how good this team can be and the leadership we have from the seniors. Brooke getting her 100th hit in this game was special. Aysia struggled last week, but was outstanding in the circle for us today. I’m very proud of this group.”

Lynnfield (5-5) returned to .500 as pitcher Harris Hadzihasanovic (7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 8 K) tossed a complete game.

“He did a great job and we definitely needed it,” said Lynnfield coach John O’Brien. “It was good to get back on track after a few tough losses.”

Doing offensive damage for the Pioneers were Chase McEwen (2 H, RBI), Jimmy Pasquale (2 H), Michael Hubbard (H), Dylan Nguyen (double, 2 RBI), Joey Wozniak (2 RBI), and Will Mandile (H, R, SB).

Marblehead 17

Salem, which entered Tuesday’s game shorthanded due to injuries, couldn’t keep up with Marblehead at Seaside Park. The Magicians (6-4) plated 13 first-inning runs and never looked back. Madden Lyons (3 H, 2 RBI) and Tim Wales (2 H, 3 RBI) led Marblehead’s offense.

Liam Smith tossed a complete game (7 IP, 6 H, ER, 7 K, 0 BB) to pace the Tanners. Leading Peabody’s offense were Jake Crocker (3-for-3, 2 R), Jack Smith (2-for-3, R, RBI), Ethan Waybret (2-for-3, R), Mark Bettencourt (1-for-4, 3 RBI), and Ben Ouellette (1-for-2, 3 R).

BOYS LACROSSE

With contributions aplenty, Swampscott took care of the Falcons by a pair of goals. Guiding the Big Blue were Tyler Ostroff (goal), Ollie Braham (2 goals), John von Barta (2 goals), Emerson Joy (2 goals, assist), Jason Rothwell (assist), Johnny Marino (goal), and Colton Alex (16 saves), who “made huge saves in the fourth quarter,” according to Swampscott coach Geoff Beckett. Luke Michigan won 8-of-16 face-offs.

“The boys grinded out a huge ‘W,’ stopping a talented Danvers squad,” Beckett said. “They executed really well against some very good offensive players.”

St. John’s Prep ripped the game’s final two goals to put a lid on Shrewsbury. Beckett Lee led the way with four goals, while Ryan McCarthy (2 goals, assist) and Thias Tolo (2 goals) helped the Eagles’ cause.

Swampscott’s (6-2) dynamic offense — which included 11 goal-scorers and hat tricks from Cecelia Tripp, Quinn Kelleher, and Bridget Urbano — overwhelmed host Danvers. Sophia Goudreau scored for the Falcons.

Despite a doubles win from Adam Loughlin and Alex Boehning, Marblehead (5-2) met its match against the Eagles, who saw John Deangelis, Boris Kouzminov, and Chris Melville go 1-2-3 in singles play. Boris Lande and Ben Shorc picked up a doubles win for The Prep.

Despite a loss, Classical received a star performance from Bianca Christalin, who finished first in the 400-meter hurdles, 100-meter hurdles, and high jump (3 personal records). Other first-place Rams were Israa Holoui (shot put), Willenia Pascasio (discus), and Mariana De Leon (mile).
