The Lynnfield 11U team took care of business against Peabody West on Monday evening, earning an 8-2 victory at Ross Park.
Peabody West struck first after an error allowed a baserunner to score, making it 1-0. Lynnfield tied the game in the bottom of the second when Will O’Brien hit an RBI double down the left-field line.
In the next inning, Bruno Palumbo reached base with an RBI double. Another double from Max Polansky brought Palumbo home, giving Lynnfield a 3-1 advantage.
Lynnfield’s Korbin O’Blenes earned the win on the mound after allowing three hits and two unearned runs over 4 1/3 innings.

The game between Peabody West and Lynnfield was tied at two heading into the top of the sixth inning. Peabody West’s Jake Gallagher grounded out in the inning, scoring two runs to give his team the lead and eventual win.
George Bourgeois (1-for-2, RBI, walk, R), Gallagher and Colton Segee each recorded at least one RBI in the victory to power Peabody West’s offense.
Gavin Howard led Lynnfield’s offense, going 3-for-3. Jack Mackor had Lynnfield’s lone RBI, while Gianni Tiberi, Morgan McMillan and Frankie Qualtieri each recorded at least one hit.
On the mound, Lynnfield’s Jack Ervin pitched five innings, striking out three and walking two. Peabody West’s Anthony Zannella pitched 3 2/3 innings, striking out five while allowing one earned run and walking four.
