LYNN — Tuesday’s Daily Item All-Star awards ceremony is open to the public at the Lynn Museum and Arts Center (590 Washington St.) beginning at 6 p.m. The evening recognizes local student-athletes and coaches for their achievements during the spring sports season.
Featured sports include baseball, softball, boys volleyball, boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls tennis, as well as boys and girls track and field.
There will be Player of the Year and Coach of the Year selections across each sport.
There will also be a presentation of this season’s Buzzy Barton Award, named after the former Lynn firefighter, city councilor, student-athlete, and basketball coach who died in April of 2023. It’s given to a consummate team player and leader.
