Featuring Desk offers advertisers access to a features-led news audience that reads in full rather than skimming headlines. Readers come to Featuring Desk for complete stories across World, Politics, Business, Technology, Sports, Entertainment, Health, Science and Video, which means advertising appears alongside considered reporting and holds attention longer than in a fast-scrolling feed. This page sets out placements, standards and how to book. All advertising is governed by our Terms of Service and is kept strictly separate from editorial decisions.

Available placements follow the positions built into the Featuring Desk theme: a header banner position, sidebar positions including a sticky placement, and in-article positions that appear after reading has begun. Creative must be supplied in web-ready formats, with lightweight files that do not slow the page or harm mobile performance; oversized or auto-playing creative that obstructs reading will be returned for revision. Placements are sold by section or across the site, and availability varies with editorial volume and existing bookings.

Standards are not negotiable. Advertising must be lawful, decent and clearly distinguishable from editorial content. We do not accept creative that is indecent, suggestive, misleading about price or effect, or that imitates news design in a way that could confuse readers. Sponsored articles, where accepted, carry a prominent sponsored label, name the sponsor and meet the same factual standards as editorial; the sponsor may check factual references to its own products but may not dictate conclusions or suppress corrections. Political and health-related advertising receives additional review for accuracy and compliance.

Measurement and delivery are reported plainly. Campaign reports state the placement, dates, impressions and clicks as recorded by our serving system, without inflated reach claims. Featuring Desk does not sell reader data and does not build individual profiles for advertisers; targeting, where offered, is by section and context rather than by personal tracking. Readers who prefer to support independent publishing without advertising are thanked for sharing stories and for citing our reporting with attribution.

To book or to request a rate discussion, use the Contact page with Advertising as the subject and include your organisation, product or service, preferred sections, dates, placements and creative readiness. An advertising representative will confirm availability, standards review and pricing in writing before any placement goes live. Featuring Desk reserves the right to decline or remove advertising that breaches this policy, with the treatment of fees governed by the written booking terms.

Featuring Desk is published by 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067. Advertising enquiries sent to editorial desks will be forwarded without prejudice to coverage; newsroom staff do not sell placements and advertisers should not expect editorial favours.

Booking, delivery and accountability

Bookings are confirmed in writing with the placement, section, dates, creative specification and price stated before publication. Creative is checked for file weight, mobile rendering, destination honesty and compliance with the standards above; campaigns that fail the check are paused before chargeable delivery begins, not after readers have seen a poor experience. If a booked placement cannot be delivered as confirmed because of an editorial or technical decision at Featuring Desk, we will offer a comparable replacement or the remedy stated in the booking terms — we will not silently substitute an inferior position.

Advertisers should also understand what Featuring Desk will not do. We will not guarantee story adjacency, suppress or delay news that affects an advertiser, provide reader-level personal data, or allow creative that tracks readers beyond the aggregate delivery reporting described here. Those refusals protect the audience trust that makes the placements valuable in the first place. Agencies booking on behalf of clients are responsible for ensuring that the client accepts these conditions before creative is submitted.

Seasonal and section launches occasionally create additional inventory — for example a new video front or a special features series — which is offered first to existing advertisers in good standing before general release. Waitlists are kept in order of written enquiry. Featuring Desk does not operate an open automated exchange for its principal placements, because direct booking is what allows the standards review and adjacency care described on this page to be applied to every campaign without exception.
