Contacting Featuring Desk is the fastest way to reach the correct newsroom desk, to flag a correction, to propose a story or to discuss advertising and syndication. This page explains the routes available, what to include so that we can act without a chain of follow-up questions, and how correspondence is handled. Please read the guidance below before sending your message; complete messages are answered sooner and more accurately.

For editorial tips and story suggestions, tell us what happened, where and when it happened, who is affected and what evidence is available. Links to primary documents, official statements, published research or recordings help us verify a suggestion quickly. We protect confidential sources: if you need confidentiality, say so in your first message and explain the risk you face, and an editor will agree handling terms before you share sensitive material. We never pay for stories, and we do not guarantee publication or a particular angle.

For corrections, include the full story address, the exact sentence or claim you believe is wrong, the correct information and a source we can check independently. Corrections that can be verified against primary material are prioritised. When a correction is made, the story is updated and the change is noted in line with our Corrections policy. Disagreements about emphasis or opinion are read carefully but do not automatically result in changes; we will explain our reasoning where a substantive dispute remains.

For advertising, partnerships and syndication, include your organisation name, the audience you want to reach, preferred sections or placements, timing and any creative constraints. Advertising is handled separately from editorial and never buys coverage. Sponsored proposals must accept clear labelling and our decency and accuracy standards. Rights holders querying an image or article should identify the work, the right claimed and the action requested so that we can review the attachment record and respond precisely.

Messages submitted through the form below go to the Featuring Desk newsroom inbox and are triaged by subject. You can also write to [email protected] for general enquiries; please keep the newsroom form for time-sensitive editorial matters. We aim to acknowledge substantive messages promptly, though complex verification, legal review or high volume may extend the time needed for a full reply. Abusive, bulk or automated messages may be filtered without reply.

Featuring Desk is published by 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067. If your enquiry concerns another 24World Media outlet, please contact that outlet directly so that the responsible desk can answer. Thank you for taking the time to write with care — precise messages help us keep the published record accurate.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, private identity documents, or material you do not have the right to share. For an urgent safety issue, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.

What happens after you write

When your message arrives, it is read by the triage editor, assigned to the responsible desk and logged with the story address or subject you supplied. Tips that suggest wrongdoing are assessed for public interest, verifiability and risk before any reporter makes contact with the people concerned. Correction requests are checked against primary sources first, so attaching your evidence at the outset genuinely shortens the process. Advertising and syndication messages are separated from the newsroom queue at this point, so that commercial discussions can never be mistaken for editorial commitments by either side.

If we need more information we will ask for it specifically rather than sending a generic acknowledgement. If a suggestion cannot be verified, is outside our sections, or duplicates reporting already under way elsewhere in the network without a distinct angle, we may decline it without a detailed explanation, though we read every substantive message. Please do not send the same message repeatedly to multiple desks; duplication slows triage and does not improve the chance of publication. One complete message, sent once, to the correct route, is the most effective approach.

Please write in plain language and avoid sending the same enquiry from several addresses, which fragments the thread and delays triage. If your message concerns an urgent safety matter connected to a published story, mark the subject clearly as urgent and state the risk in the first lines so that the duty editor can prioritise it over routine correspondence. Routine advertising, public-relations and syndication mail marked as urgent will be returned to the normal queue without prejudice.
