Behind nine second-half goals, the St. John’s Prep lacrosse team (10-2) pulled away from Xaverian Brothers, 12-2, at Glatz Field in Danvers.
Ryan McCarthy led Prep’s offense with four goals and two assists, followed by Thias Tolo (3 goals) and Sam Kelly (2). Josh Barton dished out two assists, while Will Crawford won 10 of 14 face-offs.
St. John’s travels to Boston College High Monday with opening face-off slated for 5:30 p.m.

The Spartans (9-2) rattled off their fifth consecutive win in style, putting together 18 runs in enemy territory. Adyson Newhall (4-for-4, 2 RBI), Olivia DiSessa (2-for-4, 3 RBI), and Paige Quigley (3-for-3, RBI, 2 R) led offensively, while Newhall and Catherine Newbury split coaching duties.

Lynnfield’s Hayden Valiton (9 goals) nearly outscored the opposition herself as the Pioneers pulled away in the second half. Also carrying the offense were Ava Damiani (5 goals, 5 assists), Jordan Calichman (2 goals, 8 assists), and Olivia Adams (4 goals).

Beverly used a 6-2 halftime cushion to take down Marblehead. Zoe Dwyer ripped a hat trick for the Magicians (4-6), while Addie Co Peeps (goal), Emma Ryan (goal), Elise Dulac (4 ground balls), and Molly Bullard (10 saves) contributed.
“So impressed with our game today,” said Marblehead coach Annie Madden. “Our defense came out to play and dominated on all sets. Molly Bullard did an amazing job in goal and Elise Dulac had crucial caused turnovers. We are continuing to improve each game and we were proud of how strong we played.”
