Arrest

Kevin J. Yerardi, a 17-and-over male of Henshaw Street (West Newton), was arrested at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday for charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and electronic device use while operating a motor vehicle.

A report of a burglar alarm at 6:02 a.m. Tuesday on Main Street. Accidental/defective alarm; a report at 8:08 a.m. on McIntyre Road. Dispatch canceled by alarm company. 

Disturbances

A report of a disturbance at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday at the Square One Mall on Broadway. Caller requested assistance for a disturbance in the Snipes store. A male caller was uncooperative and would not provide any information as to what he needed prior to disconnecting. Report taken; a report at 5:55 p.m. at the Saugus Public Library on Central Street. Caller reported that there was a group of youths causing a disturbance in the library. Perpetrator(s) gone on arrival. 

Larceny

A report of larceny at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday on Broadway. Caller reported her vehicle was parked in the lot the other night at around 7 p.m. and she had not seen it since. Report taken; a report at 6:05 p.m. at LA Fitness on Broadway. Report taken.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday in the area of School Street. Caller reported a mail carrier on foot struck by a car with an older female operator who fled toward Central Street; a report at 11:08 a.m. Tuesday at Walmart on Broadway. It was a minor accident. Noise Complaint

A report of a noise complaint at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday at Evans Elementary School on East Denver Street. Caller reported a group of kids screaming on the basketball court. Services rendered. 

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday at Lowe’s on Broadway. Lowe’s requested officers for a past shoplifting. Report taken.
