LYNN — Dan Koh, Democratic candidate for Massachusetts’ 6th District, was joined by a powerful coalition of labor leaders and Lynn city councilors at a Labor Launch event on Saturday that highlighted the broad worker support powering his campaign to fight for working people.
The event brought together former Secretary of Labor and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, Carpenters Local 339, IBEW Local 103 and Local 2222, the MBTU, Insulators Local 6, Painters and Allied Trades DC 35, Iron Workers Local 7, and dozens of union members and labor organizers from across the region — a testament to Koh’s deep roots in the labor movement and his record of delivering for workers.
“I have spent my career fighting for working people — in the White House, at the Department of Labor, and at Boston City Hall,” said Koh. “Working families in the 6th District deserve a fighter in Congress who will stand up to Trump’s attacks on workers, lower costs, and deliver real results on day one.”
Following the Labor Launch, Koh was joined by local elected officials for a Small Business Walk through the heart of Lynn — visiting shops, delis, salons, barbershops, and markets, including Brothers Deli and Lesli’s Market, to listen directly to small business owners about the challenges they face under Trump’s economy. Koh was joined on the walk by Sam and Rick Vitali, Lynn City Councilor Obed Matul, and Lynn City Council President Coco Alinsug.
“Small businesses are the backbone of Lynn, and they are getting squeezed by Trump’s tariffs and rising costs,” said Koh. “I will never stop showing up and listening. And when I get to Congress, I’ll make sure their voices are heard.”
Koh’s campaign has built unmatched momentum across the 6th District, with over 85 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, more than 30 unions, former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and former Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising $3.5M+ since launch — a record for a Massachusetts House candidate.”
