Photos: Lynn veterans host flag burning ceremony


LYNN — The Lynn Veterans Council and Capt. W.M. G. Shoemaker American Legion Post 345 hosted the annual Flag Retirement Ceremony and Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery on Saturday.

The flags were ceremoniously burned by cadets from the Lynn English Marine Corps JROTC, Boy Scout Troop 34, and other members of the community before the ashes were collected and buried in a vault.
