Arrests 

Luis Merced was arrested at 2:18 a.m. Wednesday for warrant charges of shoplifting by asportation and class A and class B drug possession. 

Jeffrey Shorey, 47, of Newhall Street, was arrested at 2:21 p.m. for charges of class A drug possession. 

Ann Murphy, 49, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for charges of class B drug possession.  

Cindy Gomez, of Cherry Street, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Wednesday for warrant charges of miscellaneous municipal ordinance.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday at K Pub on Lincoln Avenue. The owner reported that people parked in his lot were fishing. When he asked them to leave, they got argumentative. Peace restored. 

Harassment

A walk-in report of harassment at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday on Fiske Road. The walk-in reported that her ex-boyfriend of 7.5 years had been calling her repeatedly. Services rendered.   

Larceny

A report of larceny at 10:58 a.m. on Hamilton Street. Caller reported she witnessed a male taking her French bulldog/pitbull mix that was approximately 40 pounds. Report taken. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a break and entry into a motor vehicle at 1:08 p.m. on Ireson Street. A man reported he had just woken up and discovered his three vehicles had been damaged. He described flattened tires and broken windows. Report taken. 

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 7:57 a.m. on Hamilton Street. Caller reported that a male hit a vehicle on a scooter and had an injury to his leg. The mother of the juvenile was on scene. Removed to hospital; a report at 10:21 a.m. on Broadway. Caller reported a two-vehicle accident on the highway. Report taken; a report at 10:39 a.m. on Hamilton Street. It was a minor accident with a vehicle going into a guardrail. Services rendered; a report at 4:31 p.m. at the Sqaure One Mall on Broadway. Caller reported that she was the victim of a hit-and-run in the parking lot on June 7. Services rendered; a report at 9:16 p.m. on Lincoln Avenue. Multiple callers reported a two-car accident with airbag deployment. Report taken.

Noise Complaint

A report of a noise complaint at 10:58 .m. at Evans Park on Central Street. Caller reported kids playing basketball at the park after hours. Peace restored. 

Property Damage

A report of property damage at 11:02 a.m. Wednesday on Bailey Avenue. Caller reported that National Grid was doing work on his neighbor’s gas line, and they had parked in the driveway, causing damage. Caller reported he had tried to call National Grid but was not successful. 

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 11:02 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart on Broadway. Multiple arrests made. 

Suspicious Activities

A report of suspicious activity at 9:47 a.m. Wednesday on Patel Drive. Caller reported that the Fox Pest Control company appeared at her residence this morning. She stated the company reported she hired them, and the caller denied hiring them. Services rendered; a report at 9:43 p.m. on Broadway. Caller reported a suspicious male in her apartment building had inappropriately touched her. Report taken. 

Threats

A walk-in report of threats at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday on Ireson Street. The walk-in reported that his girlfriend had been receiving threats and annoying phone calls/messages from someone she had gone on a few dates with. She suspects the male may be the suspect who vandalized her vehicles earlier that day. Advised legal help. 

Unwanted Party

A report of an unwanted party at 4:04 p.m. at Urgent Vet on Broadway. Caller reported that there was a client who was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Peace restored.
