Hazardous Conditions

A report of hazardous conditions at 8:28 a.m. Saturday on Mostyn Street. A tree limb was down, mostly to the side of the road and not blocking traffic. The DPW was notified. No dispatch needed; a report at 10:22 a.m. on Pine Street. A tree had fallen into a house. No injuries. The fire department and National Grid were notified. Report due; a report at 10:29 a.m. on Brooks Terrace. A caller reported that their elderly mother notified them that a part of a town tree had fallen onto their home. Officers reported that the tree may fall due to conditions. DPW was notified and responded to the scene. Report due; a report at 10:33 a.m. on Gale Road and Puritan Road. A caller reported a large tree branch blocking the sidewalk. DPW to be notified. Serviced; a report at 10:52 a.m. on Suffolk Avenue. A tree had come down on power lines and the transformer and lines were down. National Grid was notified; a report at 10:53 a.m. on Foster Road. Someone reported trees on power lines that may have caused an outage. National Grid was notified. It was a low hanging tree not on a wire. Serviced; a report at 10:54 a.m. on Norfolk Avenue. Trees and power lines were down. Transferred to fire. Serviced; a report at 10:54 a.m. on Paradise Road. There was a report of a tree down. Officers checked the area and found no tree down. Unfounded; a report at 11:19 a.m. on Paradise Road. There were reports of multiple traffic lights out in the area. Police monitored the intersection, and lights came back on at 1:55 p.m.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 8:01 p.m. Saturday on Laurel Road. A caller reported that a tree company was working near their house and a truck rolled onto her property causing damage. The truck slipped its break and rolled through the garden, pushing a wood picket fence over. Tree company advised that they would repair all the damage. Advised caller.

Noise

A report of a noise complaint at 7:32 p.m. Saturday on Railroad Avenue. A caller reported that a loud band was playing music with loud people who were screaming and wailing. The caller believed this was a church group conducting an exorcism. Officers observed loud music and advised the church to lower the volume. Advised caller.

Parking Enforcement 

A report of parking enforcement at 6:18 p.m. Saturday on New Ocean Street. One vehicle was tagged for a sidewalk violation. Serviced; a report at 11:11 p.m. at Phillips Beach. Two vehicles were tagged with no beach sticker. Serviced.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 12:05 a.m. Saturday at Dockside Pub on Humphrey Street. Someone reported that a female had come in and out of the restaurant multiple times with no purpose, and was then in a vehicle driving back and forth on Humphrey street. Serviced; a report at 7:02 p.m. on Pleasant Avenue. A caller who was not home stated that on their home camera they could see someone on her porch several times and then sitting in a vehicle out front of the home. Gone on arrival; a report at 10:14 p.m. on Hampden Street. A caller reported that someone had either thrown a rock or punched a window to their residence. No damage was found. Unfounded.
