Residents from across Essex County flooded the polls to cast their votes for the Senate race. As of press time, the City of Lynn did not release its unofficial results.

Democratic incumbent Elizabeth Warren won her third term in the U.S. Senate and U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton was unopposed in his campaign for a second consecutive term in Congress.

Warren won her election against challenger John Deaton, a Republican from Swansea.

As of press time, Warren received 3,366 votes from Lynnfield, 8,76 from Marblehead, 1,305 from Nahant, 13,747 from Peabody, 6,438 from Saugus, and 5,621 from Swampscott.

Deaton announced to his supporters that he conceded the race to Warren around 9 p.m. Tuesday night. He acknowledged the race against Warren was focused on policy, rather than “overly divisive attacks” in national politics.

As of press time, Deaton received 4,505 votes from Lynnfield, 5,102 from Marblehead, 960 from Nahant, 13,938 from Peabody, 7,887 from Saugus, and 3,169 from Swampscott.

“I’m proud of my campaign and how it was run from this entire time,” he said.

“Here’s my message to the voters of Massachusetts, ‘My name was on the ballot, but this election is about you and the work we still need to do,’” Warren said following Deaton’s announcement.

Warren aims to make childcare more affordable, raise wages for childcare workers, build more houses, cancel student debt; fight for women’s reproductive rights across the nation, end the war in Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon, bring home the hostages, and provide humanitarian aid to the region; and continue to support unions, she said to her supporters.

As of press time, Moulton received 5,450 votes from Lynnfield, 10,597 from Marblehead, 1,713 from Nahant, 20,098 from Peabody, 9,301 from Saugus, and 7,071 from Swampscott.

“Each day it’s an honor to represent the North Shore and Merrimack Valley in Congress,” Moulton said. “Despite Democrats being in the minority in the House of Representatives for the past two years, I’ve made it a priority to work across the aisle to get things done. I continue to value bipartisanship and will carry that into this next Congress.”

He added that he will continue to serve his district as a Member of Congress no matter who sits in the Oval Office.

“I’m focused on representing the interests of my constituents and pushing for policies that will make life here on the North Shore better,” Moulton said.

Moutlon said he will also remain focused on national and global challenges, such as decreasing inflation, strengthening our national security and competing with China, passing an immigration deal, building resilience and combatting the effects of climate change, and protecting reproductive rights.

Looking toward his next term, Moulton said he aims to improve the transportation system in the Commonwealth.

“We need to modernize our rail system so that you can get from Lynn to Fenway Park in half an hour – something that’s impossible today,” he said.
