SWAMPSCOTT — Grab the Bagel has opened an additional location at Coastal Collective on 434 Humphrey St. in Swampscott. 

In search of an indoor location for his non-profit organization, owner of Grab the Bagel Dave Aldrich thought Coastal Collective perfectly represented his mission.

“It just fits with what we’re doing and how we’re doing it,” Aldrich said. “So being at Coastal Collective is just another kind of touch point for the mission for the greater good in the community.”

On Oct. 13, they celebrated their grand opening and since then, they have attracted customers from all over the greater community area. 

“Yesterday we had a lot of families that would walk to the farmers and walk in the other direction towards me,” Aldrich said. “They sat in the sun and had our new apple cider bagels and hot cider and it was fun!”

In the future, Aldrich hopes to implement more incentives and programs, such as offering curb-side pickup and putting on events. Currently, he is holding a raffle for a bagel brunch for 25, in hopes of further cultivating his community. 

“Being at Coastal Collective, their whole focus is community,” Aldrich said. “Continuing to be a part of the greater Lynn, Swampscott, and Marblehead communities, which is where our client base is and some from Nahant, is a really great thing for us.” 

This upcoming November, Grab the Bagel will be at the high school donating bagels to those who vote on Election Day. 

“It’s great for us and it’s great for them,” Aldrich said. “These are people that are donating their time to do something good.” 

All are invited to visit Grab the Bagel at their newest location at Coastal Collective on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
