For the Peabody Youth Hockey Squirt 1 team, losing is simply not an option.
The team, which has not lost since September, recently won the Challenge Cup Championship tournament at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, posting a perfect 5-0 record.
In pool play, Squirt 1 defeated the Wolfpack Hockey Club of New Jersey 6-0, the Nantucket Nor’easters 7-1, and Albany’s Troy 1-0. Squirt 1 defeated Wolfpack 6-1 in the semifinals, then clinched the championship with a 7-3 win over Connecticut’s Elite Academy in the final.
Members and coaches of the team are Leroy Hinchion, JJ Dellaporta, John King, Jake Dennis, Justin Thorpe, Camden Broadbent, Aston Tadiello, coach Justin Thorpe, Riley Marshall, coach Chris Dennis, Jake McManus, Daniel Patch, Noah Cioffi, Tyler Garcia, Coach Brian Marshall, Darrius Torosian, Vincenzo Spinelli, and coach Vincent Spinelli.
