SAUGUS — National Grid will be working on a gas main replacement project on Essex Street, beginning Sept. 23.
In a release, Town Manager Scott Crabtree informed the town that the project will span through 100-120 Essex Street, and continue through until Nov. 8, provided there are no delays in the work.
A police detail will be present to help direct traffic when work is being done at the site, laying detour routes if required. The work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Those with questions are asked to contact the Department of Public Works at 781-231-4143.
