Revere incident shuts down Lynnway commute

REVERE — An incident involving the Massachusetts State Police occurred Wednesday morning and caused a traffic building on the Lynnway.

The State Police Revere Barracks received a call regarding the incident at 5:40 a.m., the State Police reported. The call reported a male sitting in a vehicle with a firearm on Revere Beach Boulevard who was possibly suicidal.

A hostage negotiator, K-9 Unit, and Revere Fire/EMS joined troopers from the Revere Barracks in the response.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that Ocean Avenue and Revere Beach Boulevard were closed between Beach Street and Revere Street, which caused the traffic build up.
