On May 9th, the North Shore Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2024 Honor Scholars Recognition Dinner, with students representing Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Peabody, and Swampscott. The event will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hilton in Danvers. 

The dinner will recognize the region’s top five percent of high school graduate students from public and private schools. Local school officials, family members, and business representatives will accompany and celebrate the students at the dinner. 

In a statement, the North Shore Chamber of Commerce explained that there will be a short program and a presentation at the event, where students will have their names called on stage as they are given certificates. President of EBSCO Information Services Tim Collins will be keynote speaker. EBSCO is the event’s premier sponsor this year

The statement also expresses that this will now mark the 56th year of this event, with the first starting in 1968, with only Beverly High honorees. Now, the commerce has expanded the event to honor students across the entire North Shore. 

At the event, more than 300 graduates from more than 30 high schools will be recognized and honored. Below are the names of local students who will be honored:
