MarketStreet Ice Rink celebrates 10th season with opening party

LYNNFIELD —The Rink at MarketStreet celebrated its tenth season with an opening party on Saturday, Nov. 11. The event, presented by SBLI Life Insurance, marked the beginning of the seasonal festivities at MarketStreet.

Attendees enjoyed a live DJ, festive snacks, a hot cocoa bar, and wintry games like outdoor curling lanes and ice cornhole. Each guest received a wristband, providing exclusive discounts at select retailers around the property. Tickets for the event were priced at $20 per person.

As MarketStreet embarked on its tenth season of The Rink, Charlotte Woods, General Manager of MarketStreet, expressed enthusiasm for continuing celebration with the opening of The Rink.

“What better way to keep our 10th-anniversary celebration going than with our annual opening of The Rink, a seasonal tradition for our area community and all of Greater Boston,” said Woods. “The Rink is always a welcome sign that the holidays and outdoor winter fun are just around the corner!”

According to a press release, visitors experienced twinkling lights illuminating the ice, accompanied by a playlist of musical hits and seasonal favorites. Surrounding the ice were cast iron chimenea fire pits and benches, offering a space for guests to rest. The Rink’s Warming Tent, located near the ice, provided skate rentals and a retreat for both spectators and skaters.

The Rink is open from Nov. 11 through Feb. 25. It is located on The Green, near popular stores like Lululemon, J. Crew, and JP Licks in the heart of MarketStreet.

Woods said the winter experience at The Rink is part of MarketStreet’s diverse lineup of over 80 shops and restaurants. The property hosts community-driven programming throughout the year, including seasonal events such as the annual Holiday Stroll on Nov. 19, interactive activations, and area fundraisers.
