LYNN — On Wednesday, Lynn City Council President Coco Alinsug announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary. Council President Alinsug is the first person of color to serve as President of the Lynn City Council and the first Filipino to win a City Council seat in Massachusetts. 

“I am incredibly proud to be kicking off Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with an endorsement for Dan Koh for Congress,” Alinsug said. “The Sixth District deserves a Representative who is not going to leave marginalized communities behind. As a proud Filipino immigrant, I know Dan, a Korean-Lebanese-American, is going to fight for us because he knows that our diversity is what makes this country great. I am excited about future generations here in Lynn and across the Commonwealth seeing leaders in government who look like them. I know Dan’s candidacy will be an inspiration for generations to come. Koh shared his profound appreciation for the endorsement, noting that diverse representation matters more than ever amid the Trump administration’s attacks.

Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 65 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $3.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
