Lynn City Council meeting scheduled for November 12 has been canceled

STATEMENT FROM CITY CLERK JANET ROWE

The Lynn City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday November 12, 2024 has been canceled due to an inadvertent posting error. The City of Lynn webpage is the official means in which all notices of public meetings of municipal boards and commissions and agendas are posted. On Thursday, November 7, the notice of meetings and agendas were scanned into the City webpage by the City Clerk’s Office. Due to a scanning error, the complete meeting notice and agendas were not downloaded to the City meeting calendar webpage. Rather, only the first two pages of the agenda were posted. In order to comply with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law, this evening’s City Council meeting has been cancelled and all matters will be taken up at the November 26, 2024 Council meeting.  City Clerk Janet Rowe stated that “Moving forward, I have instructed two members of my office to review the City of Lynn community calendar page each Friday to ensure that a complete copy of notices and agendas have been property posted.”
