To the editor:
I vote because my fiancée wouldn’t be alive today without access to gender-affirming healthcare. She needed therapy and, later, hormone treatments, to come back from the edge. I am so grateful she made it, but I worry deeply for all the young people who don’t have the same support.
I vote because every person deserves to make it to adulthood.
