To the editor:
The front-page article on Aug. 9 about Nahant’s composting program (“Nahant allocates $15,000 of ARPA funds for composting”) omitted an important piece of information: The $15,000 allocated to the Island Gold composting program gives new customers of Black Earth Compost one year of free composting services. Here is more information on the town’s website: https://nahant.org/compost/ .
Our organization, Nahant S.W.I.M. Inc. donated funds toward the composting program and helped create it.
Thank you very much for clarifying this information
Sincerely,
Vi Patek
President of Nahant S.W.I.M. Inc.
