LTE: An example of the kindness of strangers in Lynn

[ad_1]

To the editor:

My son, Stephen Whiddon, and I recently visited Lynn, where I was born and raised. This visit took place on the hottest and most humid days of July. While there I became dehydrated and passed out on the front steps of Lynn City Hall.

A wonderful man, Sean Buckman, a complete stranger, who was passing by, saw our plight. He immediately came to our aid. Sean soaked his T-shirt and wrapped it around my neck. He called the EMTs and stayed with us until help arrived.

My sincerest thanks to Sean for his kindness and compassion. Sean is a superb example of the caring people in Lynn and I truly appreciate his thoughtfulness.

Thanks a million, Sean. You are among Lynn’s finest!

Sincerely,

Marie C. Sullivan Whiddon
