Diane Patricia Kwasneski


Diane Patricia Kwasneski of Cutchogue, and lifelong North Fork resident, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was 78 years old.

Diane was born on Oct. 7, 1947 in Greenport to Ann (Slavonik) and Leo Kwasneski. She was one of two daughters. Raised in Southold, she graduated from Southold High School. After high school she attended SUNY Morrisville where she attained her associates degree. In her professional career, she worked at Grumman in Calverton for 30 years and then for Goldsmith’s Boat Shop until retirement. She was also a member of Saint Patrick’s R.C. Church in Southold.

Predeceased by her parents; Diane is survived by her sister Carolyn Schill (James) of Huddleston, Va.; nephews and nieces Kevin Schill (Nicole) of Rural Hall, N.C., Mark Schill (Amy) of Southold and Christine DiLeo (Mike) of Huntington, N.Y.; and great-nephews and great-nieces Sydney Schill Logan, Stephen Schill, Matthew Schill, Brian Schill, Kayla Ireland and Ashley Ireland.

The family has chosen to remember Diane’s life privately at this time. A memorial service will be planned for the fall.

DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold is serving the family.
