Motor Vehicle

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 7:58 a.m. Monday on Ocean Avenue. Citation issued.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 1:13 a.m. Monday on Wyman Road. Investigated.

Saugus

Burglaries

A burglar alarm was received at 4:58 a.m. on Friday. Dispatched officers found the front glass broken.

Vivant Alarm called to report a residential burglar alarm being triggered at 12:02 a.m. on Saturday on Fairview Avenue. Dispatched officers found the area to be secure.

Disturbance

Caller reports at 3:16 p.m. on Saturday that a male pulled a firearm on him, and fled down Route 1 North. While officers were responding to the scene, the male returned to the scene to speak with officers.

Larceny

A caller reported at 2:46 p.m. on Friday that a man paid for fencing materials at Vier-eck Fence with a stolen credit card.

Motor Vehicles

Caller reports at 7:42 a.m. on Friday a silver SUV abandoned in the roadway on Central Street.

Caller reports at 3:03 p.m. on Friday that a black vehicle hit their car and left the scene.

Officer reports at 3:43 p.m. on Friday that a car drove through a fence and into a building on Central Street.

Callers report a multiple vehicle accident at 11:46 p.m. on Friday on Broadway at Lynn Fells Parkway. Two individuals were transported to Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Caller reported damage to his motor vehicle at 11:49 a.m. on Saturday at Dunkin Donuts at 1539 Broadway.

Caller reported a motor vehicle into a pole on Summer Street at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday.

Caller reported an erratic motor vehicle on Broadway at 10:14 p.m. on Saturday. Caller reported that a motor vehicle also hit their son’s car. When officers ran the license plate, the information did not align with the description of the vehicle. BOLO was issued to units.

Shoplifting

Caller reports at 5:16 p.m. on Saturday at Macy’s at 1201 Broadway a male shoplifter who fled the store.

Caller reports at 6:44 p.m. on Saturday at Dicks’ Sporting Goods that a male shoplifter stole a pair of shoes, and returned an empty box.

Suspicious Activity

Caller reports at 7:37 p.m. on Saturday on Hanson Road that while returning home in a taxi cab, a male waved at the cab while brandishing a knife. Dispatched officers were unable to locate the individual.

Unwanted Party

Caller reported at 8:27 p.m. on Saturday at Stop and Shop at 164 Main St. that he was assaulted by a homeless man who he believed lived behind the plaza. Dispatched officer spoke with the manager of Stop and Shop, who did not want to press charges. Individual was trespassed for a period of one year.
