Frances Martinez, the president, founder, and CEO of the North Shore Latino Business Association, joined Attorney James J. Carrigan on his LCTV show, “The American Dream,” this week to discuss Martinez’s work serving the area’s Latino community.
The show is “designed to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how public and private policy is developed,” according to Carrigan.
The conversation, which ran for just less a half hour, featured a discussion on Martinez’s work to bring the area’s business sector and community as a whole together. She explained, at the beginning of the episode, what inspired her to form the association, and said that its membership is extremely diverse.
“I understood that back then, 30 years back, there was a gap of information, resources for the Latino community,” Martinez said. “But nevertheless, knowing that I live in a community that is very diverse, and that I was not only going to be doing this for the Latino community, but for everyone.
The show airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., and Saturdays at 7 a.m. on Comcast Channel 3 and Verizon Channel 38. It can also be watched online at www.Lynntv.org.
