Marcelino De Leon Yoc, also known as Eric Pineda Hernandez, 32, was sentenced in federal court in Boston on Jan. 24 for illegally reentering the United States after being deported and is facing additional charges in Suffolk County Superior Court.
Yoc, who is originally from Guatemala, was deported from the U.S. on May 12, 2018 and later illegally reentered the country. Yoc was arrested by immigration authorities in Lynn on Aug. 24, 2023. In October, Yoc pleaded guilty to unlawfully reentering the United States after deportation, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
In addition to the federal charges, court documents revealed that Yoc is facing state charges for aggravated rape of a child, sex trafficking, and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.
Yoc received a sentence of time served of approximately five months and one year of supervised release for the illegal entry charge.
