You know what I’ve been thinking? It was hard to replicate the success he had at Marblehead High, but, somehow, Connor Cronin did it.
Playing football at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut, Cronin was named Founders League Defensive Player of the Year this past week.
Head coach Jon Wholley agrees, calling Cronin “an absolute game-wrecker on D” on X, formerly known as Twitter.
From timely tackles to big-time interceptions, Cronin made his Marblehead followers proud at Avon Old Farms, which sported a 7-3 record this season (5-1 in-conference).
Also, in 10 games, the Winged Beavers allowed just 149 points. With Cronin in town, that’s no coincidence.
Connor, good week, but you’ve gotten this award before.
