LYNN — A fire at a split-level home on Estes Street displaced two adults and one child Thursday morning.
Firefighters saw smoke coming from 5 Estes St. when they arrived on scene at approximately 10:30 a.m. According to Fire Chief Dan Sullivan, all residents evacuated the home safely and there were no fatalities or injuries.
Sullivan said firefighters believe the fire appears to have started in the upper-level kitchen, although the cause is still under investigation. He said fire investigators are still determining whether the home’s smoke detectors were in operation at the time of the fire.
“The guys did a good job. They were on scene in a short amount of time and were able to quickly contain the fire and prevented it from doing a significant amount of damage,” Sullivan
