Mary Leah Brophy of New Suffolk passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 4, at her home surrounded by her family. She was just shy of her 103rd birthday. Leah was kind, caring and loved by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her husband, Frank, and son Michael. She leaves behind her children Kristin (Robert) Chute, Peter (Theresa) Brophy and John Brophy. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Sahner. Leah was blessed with five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11958.
Arrangements are in the care of Horton-Mathie Funeral Home.
