LYNN — The Lynn Parks and Recreation Department is preparing for the 12th Annual Youth Summer Track Meet Series, beginning Monday and continuing on July 13, 20, and 27, as well as Aug. 3 and 10.
Held at Manning Field, the series consists of six meets beginning at 6:30 p.m. There are no entry fees and athletes from all communities are welcome.
Athletes may compete in as many events as they desire and only need to register once. The events attract 300-400 athletes annually, according to organizer Joe Abelon.
Running events: 30m, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1-mile
Field events: standing long jump, softball throw
