PEABODY — The Animal Rescue League of Boston Law Enforcement Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a deceased dog that was found on the shoulder of the Route 1 on-ramp behind Santarpio’s Pizza on April 18.
The dog has been described as an unspayed, black female American bulldog/pitbull mix. She was wearing a distinctive collar featuring sunflowers on a blue background with a yellow clasp when she was found.
“Identifying this dog is an important step in understanding what happened and ensuring we can pursue any information that may help the investigation,” said Karen LoStracco, director of Law Enforcement for the Animal Rescue League of Boston. “We are asking anyone who may recognize this dog or have any information about its owner to come forward. Even small details can make a meaningful difference in helping us determine the circumstances surrounding this case.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Law Enforcement Department by phone at (617) 426-9170 ext. 110, or by email at [email protected].
