A report of an animal complaint at 1:08 p.m. on Ledgewood Road. Caller reported two loose dogs in her backyard. Brought to station. 

Disturbances

A report of a disturbance at 2:02 a.m. Thursday at the Saugus Rehabilitation and Nursing center on Lincoln Avenue. Hospital staff stated that a patient was uncooperative. Peace restored; a report at 4:35 p.m. on Jasper Street. Caller reported her power was shut off, and she believed it was her landlord’s son who did it. Peace restored; a report at 8:10 p.m. on Juniper Drive. Area check performed.   

DPW Complaint

A report of a DPW complaint at 8:08 a.m. Thursday on Winter Street. Notified agency; a report at 9:07 a.m. on Central Street. Referred to other agency.  

Harassment 

A walk-in report of harassment at 9:16 p.m. Thursday at Atwood Apartments on Broadway. A woman walked into the station and reported that she feels threatened by her downstairs neighbor, who had repeatedly complained about noise coming from her apartment. Report taken. 

Identity Fraud

A report of identity fraud at 10:19 a.m. Thursday on Hamilton Street. A man walked into the station and reported his wallet was lost around the middle of April and he recently noticed several charges were made using his American Express card; a report at 5:25 p.m. at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. A woman walked into the station and reported fraudulent charges on her Rockland Trust Bank Card. Report taken.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 7:12 a.m. Thursday at Pioneer Charter School of Science II on Main Street. Report taken; a report at 3:47 p.m. on Vine Street at Highland Street. Caller reported a two-car accident at the intersection. Report taken. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 2:02 a.m. Thursday at the entrance of Kelly’s on Lynn Fells Parkway at Broadway. Verbal warning; a report at 12:06 p.m. at the Town Hall Annex on Main Street. Verbal warning.  

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 6:58 p.m. at Dinkin’ on Hamilton Street. Investigated. 

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 2:50 p.m. on Tuttle Street. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle had been driving up and down the neighborhood. Caller spoke to the man, who stated he was lost on his way to pick up his daughter at the VELC. When the caller left to pick up her own child and returned, the car was still there. Area search negative. 

Suspicious Person

A report of a suspicious person at 4:40 p.m. Thursday on Walden Pond Avenue. Caller reported a suspicious-looking male who did not have a placard around his neck, saying he was doing door-to-door sales. Investigated. 

Unwanted Party

A report of an unwanted party at 3:45 a.m. Thursday at the Red Roof Inn on Broadway. Hotel staff requested police for a man inside the lobby who was refusing to leave. Services rendered; a report at 9:49 a.m. at the Saugus Commons Apartments on Newhall Avenue. Investigated; a report at 12:50 p.m. at the Square One Mall on Broadway. Security from the Square One Mall reported a panhandler being uncooperative, and they would like the male to be trespassed. Report taken; a report at 9:39 p.m. at Target on Lynn Fells Parkway. Caller reported a group of four youths that were asked to leave the property but refused. No such person can be found.

An animal report at 11:26 a.m. Thursday on Glen Road. A caller reported large stray cats in their backyard. Animal control was notified. Serviced; a report at 2:43 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue and Humphrey Street. Someone reported a brown and white dog loose and walking in the roadway. Gone on arrival.
