To the editor:
In honor of Ney Tejada, my wonderfully larger-than-life buddy from East Lynn, devoted family man, diehard Red Sox fan, smart as a whip, endlessly giving of self — the guy you’d have a thousand laughs on a road trip with. With absolutely no power vested in me whatsoever — but with Ney’s birthday being May 5, it’s a fun idea just slam-dunking to happen: I hereby proclaim the 5th of May to be known as Cinco de Neyo! … worldwide … now and forever after … to go along with that other magnificent celebration of party, Cinco de Mayo! Ole! Ney, Ole!
Sincerely,
Bob Baker
Marblehead
