SWAMPSCOTT — A fire has engulfed a house on 84 Pine St. as a crowd of community members gather outside on the street watch the fire department maintain the scene.
At least three fire trucks clogged Pine Street in efforts to battle the flames.
Engines from the Lynn and Marblehead fire departments arrived on the scene within minutes to assist Swampscott Fire Rescue.
“I just feel terrible – this is the second time in 10 years this house has caught fire,” neighbor Jason Lincoln said. “I just looked outside and saw the street filled with fire trucks. All that matters is that everyone made it out.”
At the moment the cause of the fire remains unknown.
This story is ongoing and will be updated as more details arise.
