LTTE: Seth Moulton does not speak for us

To the editor:

Representative Seth Moulton’s ignorant, transphobic remarks about trans youth in sports were disgusting and harmful.

Trans youth are among our most vulnerable citizens, with alarmingly high suicide rates that worsen when they face exclusion and discrimination. These are children who deserve protection and should be welcomed in all aspects of childhood—including sports. Rep. Moulton’s statements do not reflect my views or the views of my community. Here in Salem, we believe in inclusion, and our diversity is our strength.

Sincerely,

Leah Cross
