Brush fire near Peabody's Sunset Drive


PEABODY — A brush fire is being battled near Sunset Drive.

A brush fire broke out near Sunset Drive on Friday afternoon.

The fire is believed to have started at the left side of a power line clearing, with plumes of smoke billowing in the air.

As residents and neighbors check out the scene, emergency services, including Peabody Police and Fire Departments, alongside Massachusetts Forest Fire Control are responding to the scene, with water being pumped from Spring Pond to quench the flames.
